New U.S. Textile Agreements with El Salvador & Guatemala

U.S. trade officials recently announced reciprocal trade agreements with El Salvador and Guatemala that remove certain tariffs and provide preferential treatment for qualifying textile and apparel products under the CAFTA-DR framework.

The agreement with Guatemala follows a recently announced reciprocal trade agreement with El Salvador and reflects a broader effort to strengthen textile supply chains within the CAFTA-DR region. Together, these agreements reinforce the Western Hemisphere’s role as an integrated production network supporting U.S. textile manufacturing and regional sourcing.
