Supreme Court Tariff Case Update
The U.S. Supreme Court has not yet issued a decision regarding the legality of certain tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
While the Court released several opinions this week, the tariff case was not among them. A ruling is still expected before the end of the Court’s current session in June.
Why this matters to NIFDA members:
Depending on the outcome, the decision could impact import costs, potential tariff refunds, and future supply chain planning for U.S. businesses—particularly small and mid-sized companies. No changes are currently in effect.
NIFDA is monitoring developments closely and will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.
