Rob Campbell

Veteran, Author, Small Business Owner, Leadership Coach and Speaker 

  • Colonel Rob Campbell began his professional life following graduation from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 1990. Rob embarked on a 27-year U.S. Army career serving all over  the world in training, combat, and humanitarian relief operations.

    Rob is a veteran of our wars  in Iraq and Afghanistan and served during humanitarian relief operations in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

    Following retirement from the military in 2016, Rob founded a leadership speaking and consulting practice. He is the author of two books, one on  leadership, the other on military transition.

    Today Rob and his wife Leslie own and operate a  several small businesses selling window fashions, art, custom picture framing, and residential  and commercial painting. Rob is a community leader supporting entrepreneurship, veteran, and spouse support, and, with his wife Leslie, local artists. Rob has a bachelor’s in Business Administration from MCLA, and two master’s degrees, one in Administration from Central  Michigan University, and the other Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College. 

    Rob is decorated with three Bronze Star Medals as well as the Combat Infantryman’s Badge for  his wartime service. He is married to the former Leslie Ann Hamp (MCLA 1990) and the father of two sons, Robbie, and Louden.

Shelby Schuh

Enthusiastic Ideator, Marketing Executive, Leadership Consultant

  • Shelby Schuh, MSLOD is a neuroleadership entrepreneur and founder of Ideation Coaching and Consulting. Her consulting specialties include neuroleadership, organizational development, executive coaching, and team and group coaching. She is passionate about helping others reach their highest potential, and her inspirational and empowering leadership style is rooted in a belief that we are never fully done growing and becoming, personally or professionally. In her “spare time” she enjoys spending time with her family, acting in local theatre, and volunteering for various non-profit boards.

While we like to joke about it being the most entertaining event, it's crucial for voting members (ALL Dealers and Manufacturers) to stay informed about the inner workings of NIFDA. Breakfast will be served promptly at 8:00am, followed by the Annual NIFDA Business Meeting in the King room at The Bristol Hotel.

 

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15 | 9:00 AM

Concord American Flagpole Tour

Our exclusive manufacturing tour will take you through three cutting-edge facilities in Abingdon and Bristol, Virginia, including Concord American Flagpole, Hapco, and Tri-City Extrusion.

Witness firsthand how Concord American Flagpole maintains control over the entire manufacturing process, from inception to completion. Learn about state-of-the-art aluminum manufacturing technologies, Concord's rigorous quality assurance system, and the advantages of an integrated supply chain. From observing the transformation of raw aluminum material into flagpoles at Tri-City Extrusion's expansive warehouse to witnessing Hapco's precision spinning techniques to create the final shape, thickness, and diameter, to the final customization steps at Concord American Flagpole, where each flagpole is meticulously crafted to meet order specifications, including powder coating, cutting, and welding, attendees will gain invaluable insights into the intricate process behind flagpole production.

We will first meet in the King Room at The Bristol Hotel for a briefing from Concord American Flagpole, and then load up on buses to begin our trek to Abingdon.

Lunch will graciously be provided by Concord.

Following the manufacturing tour, we've set aside some "free time" for attendees to either explore the enchanting town of Bristol at their leisure, or for Manufacturers and Dealers to convene for private, one-on-one discussions. Alternatively, you could take advantage of this window to recharge and gear up for the grand finale of our trip – the Annual Awards Dinner.

Annual Awards Banquet

Join us for the Annual Awards Banquet at the historic Bristol Train Station's Kegley Hall, within walking distance from The Bristol Hotel. Built in 1902 and meticulously restored, Kegley Hall boasts cathedral ceilings, Gothic-style architecture, original flooring, and enchanting chandeliers, creating an unforgettable backdrop for the evening's festivities. Be there as we announce the Betsy Ross Award Winner and participate in the early bird raffle drawing.
